Biography

Keshab Bhattarai was a famous and very talented veteran actor and producer. He was born on 19 November 1968 in Okhaldhunga. His birth name was Anaba Kumar Bhattarai. In addition, he holds a Nepali nationality and belongs to Asian ethnicity. He was born to a parent’s late father Meghraj Bhattarai and mother NandaKumari Bhattarai. Likewise, he has six brothers and a sister. Similarly, he was a married man of 53 years old. He was married to Nita Bimb. This beautiful couple was blessed by a son after many years of their marriage. Unfortunately, he left this beautiful earth on 15 December 2019. The heart attack was the main reason for his death.

While talking about his career, he was a talented actor-producer and he worked for NEA also. For the first time, he was involved in Nepal Electricity Authority. He worked in NEA for more than two decades. However, he resigned from his job after being appointed in the chairperson of the Film Development Board, Nepal. He started acting from the movie Dautari. He met with producer Tulsi Ghimire during his days in NEA. As he was good looking and very talented Tulsi Ghimire offered him a lead role in his film. Likewise, after acting in several films, he produced his own movie named Aafno Manxey, which was one of the super hit movies of that time.

Similarly, he produced several movies like Karmayoddha, Bracelet, So Simple, Yatra, etc. Yatra was the latest film produced by him. Moreover, some of his cast movies are Parva, Janmabhumi, Akaal, November Rain, Maanav, etc. Furthermore, he also worked in television serials like 10 to 5, Janaki, Pariwar, etc.

Apart from acting, he was chairperson at Nepal Film Board, a member at the National Film Policy Draft Committee, coordinator at the Discussion and Implementation Committee of Nepa and Nempa, etc.
